Maybe you’d come back to me if I didn’t try so hard

to find you everywhere, in ribs of leaves,

in ruffles of afternoon petals, in the textured dark bark

of night, in the fuzzy days of windblown grass,

in the dim muddy alleys of my own grief.

  2. Woah, Nilanjana, so much emotion in so few words. It's a big "Maybe...". I feel so sad for this person - "in the dim muddy alleys of my own grief."

    1. Thanks, the deeper the emotions, the less the words that should be required.
