G is for Gorgonzola and Gorgon

is for Gorgonzola and Gorgon

The difference between Gorgonzola and Gorgon

Gorgonzola is a cheese, a plain Gorgon
could turn you into stone with her sense organ;
no matter what the jig,
she can’t take a wig,
not sure if she will tolerate a turban.

Whatever you do, don’t look her in the eye!
If there’s a salon job near, don’t apply!
Gorgonzola’s just cupcakes,
to dressing a head of snakes,
the cheese is strong, but it doesn’t petrify!

G is also for Great and Gorgeous and Ginormous : The first week of the ChallenGe has now Gone by, and I have come across some Gorgeous posts and Great bloGs, sumptuously illustrated, beautifully written, informative, entertaininG, movinG, funny, feel-Good, useful, sometimes based on facts, at others wholly fictitious. The Ginormous amounts of work bloGGers put in to perfect their posts never fails to blow my mind. Just plain amazinG and Glorious to read.

  6. Truly great job! I agree, beginning with your blog its amazing the entries that are out there. I hope I can stop by most of them but to comment on each one - no way. Mores the pity. You're rocking this challenge, Nila, congratulations!

    1. Can't comment on everyone, agree with you there. Especially Blogger is making it unnecessarily time consuming, rolling out the pic verification at random days and times, sometimes with more than one set of thumbnails on the loop. Aargh! after a time I just Give up trying. Neither have the patience nor the time.

      Thanks for being here and the Generous support.

    1. Gorgonzola is an Italian cheese I think, was served it once as a child by a German lady. Those were times when there was no question of refusing anything served by a Grown up, so had to finish it. Well, I did, but nearly choked!! :)

      Though on second thought, I should try it again now and I'll probably find it to my taste, who knows? Food tastes, like others, mature with age.

  26. I never realized the danger of confusing these two items. From now on, I will only approach the cheese aisle in the supermarket by walking backward and looking over my shoulder in a mirror. Thank you for finally clearing up the mystery of all those stone statues caught in the act of reaching for cheese!
