‘The time has come,’ the
Walrus said,
‘To talk of many things:
Of shoes – and ships – and sealing-wax
–
Of cabbages – and kings –
And why the sea is boiling
hot –
And whether pigs have wings.’
This is a bit of a departure
from the usual poetry trip that characterises this blog. Though I do realise it
is not an auspicious start to begin a non-poetry post with a quote from a
famous poem. It is inappropriate to appropriate verses from a renowned writer
to do the work of your prose. Inappropriate and ironical and cheeky. Not a good
beginning. Let’s start over.
