A is for April...n A-Z ...n Archie

is for Archimedes

Archie’s sparse bathing routine

Archie, the old maths whiz and engineer
bathed only rarely, that much is quite clear.
Else he would have spotted
how much splashed and what floated,
and trilled ‘eureka’ in the nude much earlier.

He devised the most innovative of screws
(Oh, you got a one-track mind!) no, its real use
was pumping for ships and gardens,
so, begging a thousand pardons -
why didn’t they bathe more often in Syracuse?!

Archimedes was a famous Ancient greek mathematician, physicist and engineer born 3rd century BCE. The Archimedes' Principle of fluid dynamics is what he is most famous for, but his contributions to science Are varied and many.

A is Also for Addendum : Do you get A panic Attack if All the posts Are not scheduled in Advance, and then feel miserable when they Are, because you're a pantser at heart And scheduling doesn't give you your spontaneity fix? Yeah, I know! I Am Arbitrary like that. As you can see, A is An easy letter to post for. Things will Ahem, Alter a bit next week onward.

I've done A to Z with most posts written ahead and last year totally on the fly. I guess I'm a fan of panic, because I'm going that route again.
